New and exciting initiatives! Highlights from our partners! Evolving partnerships! This section offers you an overview of current and upcoming activities at Spider. After restructuring in 2011, Spider is now in a phase of growth, and we welcome you to share our journey.

Many of our new activities revolve around knowledge brokering, thus contributing to our overall aim of becoming an internationally recognized ICT4D broker. We have been asked to design and deliver an introductory course in ICT4D for Swedish NGOs. We are also contributing to the International Training Programme (ITP) on ICT and Pedagogical Development, in collaboration with DSV. Both initiatives are supported by Sida. The iMentors project is an EC-funded project that we are carrying out in partnership with Gov2U. The EC contribution to Spider/DSV is Euro 510,000 over a 30-month period, and Spider has been assigned to be the coordinator of the project. Through iMentors we hope to develop our knowledge brokering skills in the field of e-infrastructure in Africa.
