Training program for Yemeni ICT Professionals

Professionals from seven public Yemeni Universities participated in a training program in October-November focusing on management of Information and communication Technologies (ICT) with special emphasis on capacity building for ICT Centers at universities in Yemen. The training program was designed to broaden the participants' professional knowledge regarding ICTs and to make available European and international experience. It was also a platform for institutional building and awareness raising through a participatory approach.

Group work sessions were held after study visits, where the participants were to reach consensus and make a presentation on the results. The participants were empowered to take the first strategic steps towards building the necessary capacity of the ICT Centers of their respective universities. According to the evaluation, the participants were satisfied with the course as they acquired new skills to be applied at their respective universities.
