Spider offers grants for innovative research and development (R&D) projects in ICT for education (ICT4E). The aim is to stimulate local research and innovation, while contributing to the global ICT4D knowledge base. The R&D projects are expected to produce concrete technical solutions and/or methods in ICT4E. These can range from tools for administration/management to classroom delivery. A total of 4 grants are made available with SEK 100 000 per grant in 2012. Online mentoring is available by researchers at Spider and the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University.
